These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of network26.com, related free tools (including tools on subdomains such as dmarc.network26.com, headers.network26.com, spoof.network26.com, and secure.network26.com), and any related pages or forms operated by Network26 (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using this website or those tools, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or tools.

These Terms apply to the website and free tools. They are not a substitute for a managed IT, project, or support agreement. Paid services are governed by a separate written agreement or statement of work between you and Network26.

Who we are

Network26 provides managed IT, cybersecurity, help desk, Microsoft 365, network, and project support for small to medium-sized businesses, primarily in the Greater Puget Sound and Western Washington. Contact: [email protected] · 425-368-9526 · contact form.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the website and free tools only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape abusively, or gain unauthorized access to the site, tools, or related systems
  • Use the tools to probe, spoof, or analyze domains, mail, or systems you are not authorized to test
  • Submit false information, malware, or content that violates others’ rights
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with Network26 or use our marks without permission
  • Use automated means in a way that harms service quality for other visitors

We may suspend or block access if we reasonably believe these Terms are being violated.

Website content

Content on this site—including service descriptions, case studies, blog-style explanations, and examples—is for general information. Case studies may be composite scenarios based on common engagement patterns and are not guarantees of results for your business.

We try to keep information accurate and current, but we do not warrant that the site is error-free, complete, or always up to date. Technology recommendations change; treat website copy as educational, not as formal advice for your specific environment until we assess it with you.

Assessments, quotes, and forms

Submitting a contact or free assessment form is an invitation to talk—not a binding order. Any pricing discussion, recommendation, or timeline shared before a signed agreement is an estimate based on information available at the time and may change after a fuller review.

Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive credentials through public website forms. For one-time sensitive notes, use our private note tool when appropriate, or wait for a secure channel we provide after engagement.

Free tools

Free tools (for example DMARC checks, spoof previews, header analysis, and one-time private notes) are provided “as is” for educational and self-help purposes. Results may be incomplete or incorrect depending on DNS, mail configuration, timing, or input quality.

  • Use tools only with domains, mail, and data you own or are authorized to analyze
  • Tool output is not a formal security audit, compliance certification, or guarantee of protection
  • Private notes and similar utilities may expire, be deleted, or fail; do not treat them as long-term storage
  • We may change, rate-limit, or discontinue free tools without notice

No professional warranties on the website alone

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and free tools are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing on the site creates a fiduciary duty or professional engagement until you and Network26 enter a separate service agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Network26 and its owners, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from your use of—or inability to use—the website or free tools.

Our total liability arising out of website or free-tool use will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), or the amount you paid us (if any) specifically for website-related access in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater. This limit does not apply to liabilities that cannot be limited under applicable law, or to obligations under a separate written service agreement (which will control for paid services).

Intellectual property

The Network26 name, logo, site design, text, graphics, and other materials on this site are owned by Network26 or used with permission. You may view and share public pages for ordinary business evaluation. You may not copy the site for a competing service, scrape content at scale, or use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement without written permission.

Third-party services and links

The site may link to third-party sites or use providers such as form processors, analytics, fonts, or hosting. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party content or policies. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle form and analytics data.

Privacy

How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold Network26 harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the website or free tools, your violation of these Terms, or your use of tools against systems you are not authorized to test.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Washington State will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from website or free-tool use, except where prohibited by law.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised Terms. For material changes, we may also note the update on this page.
